Embassy Room La Marina is bringing in some big changes to the Ploen Chit foodie scene, putting a new Italian chef at the head of their coastal cuisine at Park Hyatt Bangkok.

With the appointment of Chef Alessio Banchero as the new Chef de Cuisine, Embassy Room La Marina is taking inspiration from the Italian sea in a new, exciting way.

This phase will see a refined take on Italian signature seafood dishes like Casoncelli di Gamberi and Merluzzo della Patagonia alla Ligure—a sense of classic, creative dishes with expert hands at the helm.

The new chef, coming from Genoa, has more than 20 years of experience and expertise, and his own passion for coastal cuisine was sparked by his aunt’s own restaurant and time he spent in the harbour as a child.

As a graduate of Culinary Institute Nino Bergese in Genoa and the mind behind restaurants like Zeffirino and Ristorante Il Veliero in Genoa, Chef Alessio is no doubt taking Embassy Room’s seafood game up a notch.
