This smooth black bar has a sense of elegance that can definitely turn heads on the BTS. The 4-inch TFT wide screen, featuring 16 million colors, makes for great video viewing in high definition resolution (345 x 800 pixels). We watched the movie trailer for Avatar (which comes with the phone) and it was pretty darn impressive. The high quality Dolby-system speakers. The screen, which is encased seamlessly within the phone making it truly scratch-resistant. The HSDPA network support with 3G compatibility. |
Though the widescreen is exceptional, it’s not as responsive as an iPhone, Nokia 5330 or Samsung i8910. The wide screen means the phone fits awkwardly in your palm—it’s too slim to hold it vertically and it’s too wide to hold it horizontally. The S-Class user interface, which pales in comparison to the user friendly Symbian, Mac OS and Android. The point of seeing thirty applications at a time as rows of tiny icons is lost on us. Because of its sleek surface, it quickly looks like a greasy crime scene covered in fingerprints. The media functions rapidly suck the battery dry which means you’ll be lucky if you get a day’s worth of use out of it. |
Verdict: Style over substance. If that sounds like you, go for it.
