1. First impressions matter
When you meet your interviewer, the first thing they’ll notice is your greeting, presentation (including dress code) and body language, so make sure you make a positive impact. Be confident, polite and most important of all, be punctual.

2. Dress for success
It’s always better to be over-dressed than under-dressed.

3. Don’t lie in interviews
You will almost always get caught eventually. You may not even know it, so people keep doing it again and again, thinking that they can get away with it, when in fact it might have cost them the job!

4. Prepare a mental list of achievements and accomplishments
And make sure that they are measurable and objective to demonstrate what you have achieved and are capable of doing. Positive reference statements coming from an old boss are also always a plus.

5. Be prepared to take a ‘grilling’
Expect the unexpected and make sure to prepare (and ask) plenty of questions of your own.
