72 Courtyard came roaring back at the beginning of this year, a Thonglor staple that returned with a hot new design, new eateries, and the coolest club on the street, Beam. Now, after 10 years on the scene, they announced they’re shutting their doors for good.
They only officially reopened the space in January, now they’re closing again. But this time seems pretty permanent, with the last events taking place on Oct 31. They’re taking Beam, Feral, Pi Shop, Kenji’s Ramen Lab, and Beer Belly with them when they go.
“Since opening in 2015, we’ve shared food, music and moments together in the heart of Thonglor. Thai October, we invite you back for a month-long farewell across every venue.”
Over the last few months Beam has brought in some great artists and really cemented a spot on the club scene, but as of the end of this month, it will be no more. And the news gets worse, because Beamcube, the Mahanakhon club and sister to Beam, will be closing on November 29th.
This is the end of the Beamiverse! Except maybe it’s not. The press release from the brand stated that “Beam is not gone. It’s changing shape” and that “Beam’s story is far from finished.”
If you want to look on the bright side, the going-away events are going to be bangers. Starting with Beam, they’ll be having special promotions of 30% off bottles and table packages, along with big acts like Changing Currents and Jamz Supernova, all of which culminates in Halloween week Oct 24–31 for a double headliner finale.
Ramen Lab, Pi Shop, and Beer Belly will all be 30% off from Oct 1-20, with special drink and food menu items at both Beer Belly and Feral on selected dates.
Feral Wine Bar, which was the hot pre-clubbing spot that dropped in January with the relaunch of 72 Courtyard, will host “Feral Friends: Everything But The Kitchen Sink”, featuring guest shifts and kitchen collaborations
All of this ends with the big shebang on Oct 31, which is the final farewell for 72 Courtyard. That’s a big night for nightlife.
