Curated by Oat Montien, a trailblazer on Bangkok’s queer culture scene and recipient of the Pride Value Artist 2025 award, "Paradiso: Reverie" kicks off this weekend for a free entry event at Bangkok Kunsthalle.
The event will feature five films, including the short film “Deer of Nine Colors” from by Andrew Thomas Huang, “Kingdom of Fairy” by Chitapol Paengwiangchan, a short horror film by Jesada Chanyam, and “Celluloid Demon” by Burmese director Htet Aung Lwyn.
Events are to include herbal tea drinking and group hypnosis, trans poetry supported by Transpridethailand, queer tarot card reading, a drag show dedicated to filmmaker David Lynch, queer blessing ceremony, and a Javanese mask dance.
This event follows on from the Paradiso series of screenings from last year, also curated by Oat Montien and held at Bangkok Kunsthalle.
Bangkok Kunsthalle, found just west of Hua Lamphong, will host this one-night event this Sunday from 6-9pm. The event is supported by Bottega Venta and was developed with Rosalia Namsai Engchuan through the Futures Observatory.
