Description

Located in Kofu City, Japan for 24 years, the authentic barbecue beef restaurant Sadoya has finally opened another branch in the City of Angels. Decorated by a Japanese designer, Sadoya boasts a simple but sophisti-cated style: lots of black and blue with kimono dresses adding some authentic Japanese oomph. Partner Yumi Nonaka ensures that Sadoya offers the highest quality Japanese beef. Every piece has a certificate guarantee. “Beef plays a major role in here,” she says. “It doesn’t matter if the customers don’t recognize the decoration details or how the waiters dress. We just want them to remember our fantastic beef.” Downstairs there is a sec-tion where customers can enjoy barbecue, a la carte and set lunches, while the upper floor has three private rooms for serious beef lovers. There, authentic Japanese set menus are being served: try the Wagyu (B2,500/person) or the Sadoya (B5,000/person). The price seems higher than aver-age, but Yumi says customers, especially the ones who have visited Sadoya in Japan, have found these to be reasonable prices. The expensive Sadoya course includes many different kinds of meat, such as sirloin, rib eye, salad and sashimi, as well as traditional Japanese dessert. Twenty kinds of wine imported from Chile and France are also available. If you’re not into beef, you can sub-stitute it with pork or seafood, but Yumi emphasizes that Sadoya is a restaurant beef lovers shouldn’t miss. “If any beef lovers have been here once, they aren’t going to go anywhere else. They will keep coming back again.”
