Description
Opened: Dec 2007
The buzz: The Irish have good whiskey, too, such as Jameson’s. If you want to throw back a couple, along with some Guinness or Kilkenny, this new Irish bar in the Holiday Inn Silom hotel is an authentic place to do it.
The décor: The whole shebang of Irish bars: lots of wood, pool tables, green and black, leather-upholstered chairs. The only concession to modernity is 12 flat screens tuned in to sports channels. There are also plush red seats surrounding the diner-like tables lining the windows.
The music: Your standard soft rock hits (no hip hop or R&B). You don’t really come here for music except when the house band comes on—Monday is Irish and Friday is rock and pop. The crowd: Slowly picking up despite being so far down on Silom. It’s got that “your farang boss” kind of vibe. You know, white Anglo-Saxons (with a few Celts thrown in). Just don’t ask if they’re Catholic or Protestant, you don’t want to start a brawl.
The price: Beer B90-220, whiskey B150-220/glass, Irish whiskey B1,800, premium whiskey B1,950-2,950, food B95-450. Happy hours draft Heineken and Tiger B75, daily 4-7pm.
Why you will come back: Maybe you’re Irish or maybe you want the Emerald Isle without the crowds from upper Silom Road. Wiwat Patcharinsak

You don't get to choose here because Jameson's set lunch is comprised of starter, main courses and dessert of the day. Portions are generous and the price is an affordable B195.
