Description

Opened: September 2007

The buzz: A tiny bar with alternative music and special guest DJs drawn from the media industry.

The décor: Simple and retro touch with warm mood and tone, like a coffee shop. There are big sofas and pillows, a small patio with dining tables and a few chairs in the tiny garden. There is also a collection of rare old vinyl lining the shelves.

The music: Depends on who is at the turntables really. Mey-T Moderndog spins his stuff on Tue; Tee Blue Bar is on on Wed and Fri-Sat; while Sun is jazzy night with the in-house DJ.

The crowd: Old enough (25s up) to have developed a taste for more than your typical pop. Many of the customers work in the media or the arts.

The price: Sang Som B250, Black Label B1,250, beer B70-90, mixers B25, cocktails B100-170.

Why you’ll come back: The music is definitely special and this might be your crowd. Not the ideal place to pick up a young university student, but for conversation with entertainment industry insiders, this is a must-go address, in a very civilized part of town to boot.
