Following a number of pop-ups around the city and the gelato cart at Velaa Sindhorn Village, Cafe Buongiorno has opened up a new space on Sukhumvit 49—or, more accurately, two.
As diners might guess, Cafe Buongiorno Per Tutti will be serving the Italian cafe regulars like Bucatini Amatriciana and various focaccia treats, and just around the corner is the gelateria serving classic favorites like alongside more creative concoctions like red wine, beer, and more flavors. In the gelateria, cold-pressed drinks go for B200.
Split into two venues, Cafe Buongiorno Per Tutti and Café Buongiorno Gelateria, the new adjoining spaces are part of the Italian Cafe Buonjiorno brand under Enozo Peroni, who was recently awarded Commendatore under the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
You’ll find the likes of pollo con funghi and pork Milanese on the menu, but there are smaller bites and sandwiches like the mini brioche mushroom melt and the black olive focaccia with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes.
Like a proper Italian cafe, diners will also find plenty of danishes and treats to go with the homemade pasta—of which there are extensive options from your classic arrabbiata to ricotta and truffle ravioli with truffle cream sauce.
Found at the Townhall on Sukhumvit 49, it’s a good, affordable option for the neighborhood in the area between Phrom Phong and Thonglor which has become increasingly (and sometimes prohibitively) expensive over the last decade.
