As a member of the best break-dancing crew in Southeast Asia, the Ground Scatter Breakers, he’s represented Thailand and Southeast Asia in the Battle of the Year, an international break-dancing competition in Germany. Like a shooting star, Thailand’s first model to make it big on the world stage burned bright and then quickly faded from view. Looking nothing like the Miss Thailand ideal, this farmer’s daughter from Ubon was discovered 12 years ago eating noodles on the street and then controversially took first prize in a careermaking contest. Dear Mr. KIA: I have just come back from a shopping visit to Hong Kong where I noticed something. Most of the trendiest spots in the shopping streets there have long gone from stocking up their racks with vintage girly clothing, and now have moved on to selling the punk trend. It was such a relief for me to see that they are not afraid to be different. (read more...)

Some of Bangkok’s most stylish restaurants are Italian, and of these La Villa just mightbe the most stylish. Huge walls of glass surround the purpose-built space, which ismodern, minimalist and boxy.
