 It’s that time of year again, when people walk around dressed like freaks, donning masks or slathering their faces in gothic makeup, and it’s considered normal. Like other holidays we barely understand yet have nevertheless embraced, Halloween is “celebrated” here, from nightclub theme parties to kids running around in Harry Potter costumes. But everyone knows that, in Thailand, ghosts don’t just come out on October 31st. Here, spirits are believed to be as real as the living, and it’s best not to defy these mysterious forces.  Lee Rous is one of the two DJs in the nu skool breakbeat/electro dance group Plump DJs, along with Andy Gardner. They first caught the attention of fans in 1999 with their first album A Plump Night Out, which made its way to the top of the breakbeat chart in DJ Magazine. After that, they released more and tracks toured in and out of UK on the dance music global circuit. The two turntablists will be spinning here as part of Chivas’ Music Terminal campaign. Halloween is just around the corner and you have your costume all figured out. But whether you’ll be the bride of Frankenstein or a slutty catwoman, you’re gonna need good makeup to match. Gone are the days of bloody tears and zombie cheeks: the new trend for Halloween makeup is all about being dark, yet pretty. We sat down with one of MAC’s senior makeup artists, Pornpichit Khumngoen, who gave us the low-down on how to make your eyes stand out from the other undead who will be walking around wobbily this Halloween.

 We all know Tammy, Paradorn and Danai, but what about the twins? With Paradorn hurt and Danai looking tired, doubles specialists Sonchat (Ton) and Sanchai (Tong) Ratiwatana salvaged a bit of Thai pride by bagging their first ATP title at this year’s Thailand Open.
