My Style was love at first sight, but it ended catastrophically. This restaurant is located in a pretty countryside house that radiates warmth with its vivid red walls and oozes hominess with its super-comfy sofas and a rather eclectic but charming collection of knick-knacks including everything from paintings to beckoning cats and empty whiskey bottles. Physically, Ten-Sui is one of the city’s most attractive Japanese eateries. Its magnificent grounds and handsome patios and interiors alone make it worth a visit. Then there’s the food, which is excellent, made from top quality imported ingredients, expertly prepared and served up by waitresses in striking traditional dress. That’s the good news.
