Touch has been called the “mother of the senses” and massage promotes general relaxation and is also highly therapeutic. During pregnancy and labor, massage can alleviate physical discomforts and ease the pain and anxiety during childbirth (of mother, partner, and baby!) This workshop offers a wonderful way for you and your partner to learn specific and effective massage techniques you can start practicing now to help you prepare for labor. The goal of this workshop is to give you and your partner the opportunity to learn and practice giving massage in various positions - on a birth ball, a chair, the floor, and in standing positions - so you have the tools you need to feel confident in the birthing room.

Kate Besleme is a US-certified massage therapist, birth doula, and yoga instructor. She completed her massage therapy program at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC, and received specialized pregnancy massage training at the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle,

WA. Since moving to Bangkok over a year ago, Kate has been providing massage and doula services to expectant mothers and their partners through her private practice, DoulaBaby (www.doulababy.com)

  Introduction workshop to Kundalini Yoga

Saturday, July 26th 14:00-15:30

Fee: Donation basis

Kundalini Yoga is all about ‘uncoiling yourself to find your potential and your vitality, and to reach for your virtues. All is in you. There is nothing from outside. You are the storehouse of own your totality’.

                                                                                                (Yogi Bhajan)

Kundalini Yoga is a thousands-years old tradition with the efficiency of 21rst century technologies which, with regular practice, can help you to achieve your goals. Kundalini Yoga brings together different aspects of traditional yoga:  breathing (Pranayama), posture and body movement (Asana), sacred sound current (Mantra), hand gestures (Mudra), body locks (Bandha), and body alignment. Together and in logical sequences, they bring specific results. Kundalini Yoga works on all the systems in our body, with the emphasis on Circulatory, Respiratory, Nervous, Endocrine (Hormones) and Lymphatic, Digestive, Immune, and Musculoskeletal systems. It also works with the meridians and the life energy (Prana or Qi/Chi).

The workshop will be taught by Ms. Nguyen Tien Nghia (Tien), a certified KY teacher by Kundalini Research Institute (KRI), www.kundaliniyoga.com, New Mexico, U.S.A.
