Yellow Teeth
Yellow Teeth
November 23rd, 2007Dear Mr. KIA: I hate to act like an irrational sixth-grader, but this is a big deal for me. My friends have been mocking me for months since the day I smiled to a girl as I tried to pick her up, but ended up getting an awkward “get-away-from-me-moron” look on her face. Don’t get me wrong. After inquiring about her reaction to her friends, it turns out that the problem is my yellow teeth. They are a bit more yellow than other people. (I swear they are not Post-it yellow, only light yellow.) Anyway, the point is, I need a good dental clinic here—the ones with nice service and that can whiten my teeth for life.—Mellow Yellow
Dear MY: I chose your letter because I truly admire your ability to describe shades of yellow. BTW, as far as I can tell, whether they are light yellow or not, they are yellow enough to chase a girl away and to draw the attention of your buddies. So, I couldn’t agree more that finding places to fix this are more than a mere toddler’s tantrum.
Here are some nice and clean dental clinics in town. But before rushing to these places, hoping for glaring white teeth, you should know that no whitening treatment lasts for a lifetime. They last for 4-5 years, at which point you need to redo one.
Bangkok Dental Spa By Dr. Lily promises to give you a bright and shining smile in 40 minutes for B15,000 and using a diode laser machine from the US. A free massage is offered for those who spend B16,000 and up.
BriteSmile offers you whiter teeth in an hour. Differing from other tooth whitening treatments, it uses blue light technology with gel instead of laser to prevent patients from suffering from hypersensitive teeth. With only 15% hydrogen (that’s 20% lower than laser) and the blue light, expect safe and sound tooth whitening. B18,000 with a free dental check up.
Bangkok Dental Center is another good choice if you don’t mind going to a hospital. It has a variety of preventive measures and treatments for everyone. More than 70 dentists are ready to help you out for B14,000 and an hour of your time. Before you get the Hollywood smile, a dental checkup (B900-1,500) is required.
