Wine Pub, Booze, Dudesweet, Dream Girls(Boys) Concert

Wine Not?

We thought we had seen it all when it comes to drink promotions, but Wine Pub at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel offers something a little different. Our personal favorite is the Sunday night promotion when you buy one bottle of the sparkling stuff (B950) and get one free. Another great deal is their Saturday night All You Can Eat Tapas for B650 (7-10pm). Think of becoming a regular? Fork out B20,000 on a Member Card. Signing up gets you the privilege of reserving a table, opening up a bill of B30,000 and two free bottles of house wine. Gutsy huh?

New Booze

When the landlord discontinued the contract of Booze, Jet and Gig, we thought it could be the end of life as we know it on Thonglor Soi 10. As Jet moved to Ekkamai, Gig relocated to Petchaburi at least Booze said they wouldn’t go too far. It seems they were as good as their word and are moving just up the street but still in Thonglor Soi 10. A source tells us that it will be open by the end of May (though from what we could see there is still a lot to get finished), and run by the same management though it will undergo a name change to Muse or Muze.

Dream Girls (Boys) Concert

When Pek, Aof and Ice Saranyo came out together, on the album, Together, we gave them a loud applause since the three are actually part of the small group of current singers who can actually sing. Rumor has it that they are about to hold their first full-scale concert on Jul 26, with tickets on sale from Jun 11. We’ll keep you posted.

Dudesweet’s Done

Six long years of serving Bangkok’s night owls and now they’re done. Okay, deep breaths. We don’t mean donedone, but just done with the name. Changing their identity to “Mathematics Niteshift” (Niteshift for short) comes out of sheer boredom and a yearning for something fresh, claims founder Khun Note. “We’ve been wanting to make changes, it might surprise people at first but it won’t be too bad in the end.” We certainly hope so.
