On the Web

On the Web

www.seatguru.com Tips and tricks to choose and book the best seats. Includes seating charts for specific planes and carriers. List of carriers is incomplete, however.

www.tripadvisor.com All you need to know for a trip, whether it be to France or Saudi Arabia, London or Bhutan. Includes hotel rates, flights, deals, attractions, maps and other related links. Don’t miss the reviews written by experienced travelers. Fun to read—especially the nasty ones.

www.flyertalk.com Community for frequent flyers and people obsessed with airline miles and points. With chatroom, forums and photo gallery featuring some very cheesy pictures.

www.fodors.com Offers general information on where to go (and eat) and what to do. Not as detailed and practical as Tripadvisor, but contains a lively forum.

www.airlinemeals.net Browse through dozens of menus you will get to taste on the sky. Meals include special menus like oriental vegetarian, special dishes for diabetes and fruit meals. Also featured on the web are crew meals (just so you know they don’t get better food than you do) and behind the scenes reports. (for those who are curious about catering processes.)
