This is one of the quieter beaches of Samed, so those interested in a more exciting and lively getaway might want to consider Samed Resort’s newly opened boutique hotel Mook Samed (Ao Noi Na, Koh Samed, www.samedresorts.com). This offers the same package but be prepared to sleep with the waves crashing beneath you as the rustic looking bungalows are built on stilts over the sea. Prices start at B12,800 for two. are two upcoming events for the city of Sukhothai in Sep and Nov. One-Two-Grounded

One-Two-Go is suspended from flying for 30 days. A report into last year’s crash in Phuket by the Civil Aviation Department cited problems relating to flight schedules, maintenance, general operations and, perhaps most worrying, found that nine had been less than truthful about the level of their qualifications. The ban commenced from July 22 and the airline confirms the schedule will not recommence until Sep 15 and only if it can prove it has resolved all the issues. Passengers who have already booked tickets during these dates can claim a refund by calling its hotline at 1126.
