Q&A: Tui AF3 + Kratae
Q&A: Tui AF3 + Kratae
February 16th, 2008
Krietkamol Lata, or better known as Tui AF3, makes his acting debut, starring opposite famous big-screen actress Supaksorn “Kratae” Chaiyamongkol, in Kod, the rom-com road movie that is set to hit theaters.
Can you tell us more about your roles?
Tui: I play Kwaan, a man who has two left arms. Everyone in his village thinks he is a weirdo. His mother is the only one who thinks he has a gift, but she passes away, leaving Kwaan to his doubts and insecurities. So, he decides to leave his hometown to have the extra arm removed in Bangkok.
Kratae: My character is Na, a country girl who wants to find a husband in Bangkok. She meets Kwaan on the way. Well, in fact, he saves her from being raped by a gangster. And since they both are going to Bangkok, they decide to travel together.
What is it like working with your co-star?
Tui: I think that I am so lucky to work with Kratae. I’ve watched many of her movies. She is a queen of the silver screen.
Kratae: Tui is very clever and dedicated. Sometimes he says “I can’t do it,” but in the end, he is able to carry out what he first thought impossible.
What is kod (hug) to you?
Tui: A hug doesn’t have to be an actual hug. It can be a feeling or an action that makes you feel supported by someone.
Kratae: Most people think that hugging involves two people and that it is the way to express your feelings to the other person you hug. But I think it’s good to hug ourselves from time to time. I do, when I am sad, and it cheers me up.
What is the message Kod is trying to convey?
Tui: Don’t be negative while you are in trouble. Don’t make a decision alone when, in fact, there is someone who wants to help you.
Kratae: Don’t take your life too seriously. Though you are in a difficult situation, there are always solutions. Take it easy and don’t be afraid to talk or consult with other people. Sumanut Thiengthong.
