Q&A: Tanasan Kanakasem

August 8th, 2008

Tanasan leads a group of five in the Feel exhibition which deals with the different
human emotions expressed when confronted by different life experiences. See +art this page.

Why were these artists chosen?

Every artist involved in this exhibition is committed to bringing out his or her feelings through their art. We also all believe that this is the right platform for us to bring our work to the public as there are no limitations in terms of style or context.

How does each artists’ work differ?

We all try to bring something different to the table. I deal with women and the feelings they experience when they dream. Sorasak Saegow addresses the feelings you get from encountering the simple and commonplace. Wisit Teehasirikosol tackles the notion of violence and how it has entered the minds of today’s youth. Alongkot Jaisong takes on the feeling of loneliness and freedom. And Wuttichai Chamchoi deals with those people who feel mentally constrained and bound by rules and regulations.
