What was the hardest thing about your role in the film?
Ekachai has a very unique take on things as a director. For instance, when he asked me to show anger, he would ask me to do so in terms of percentage, say 80%. He wanted everything in percentages—good thing I liked math when I was at school!
What was it like being in a coffin?
Once I got inside, my body responded as if everything was real. Suddenly, I couldn’t breathe. My imagination took flight, I got all flustered and worried and couldn’t control my thoughts. I just felt so claustrophobic, and each minute seemed like forever. It felt like I was dying.
Are you worried about becoming a female horror icon?
No. I don’t mind if viewers get attached to that image because it proves to me that they believed in my acting.
Is there any other kind of role you want to play?
Action. I want to prove my versatility as an actress. I find it boring doing the same things over and over again.
Has your perspective on life changed at all after taking part in this movie?
Enormously. I understand how short life can be. If you’re passionate about something, go ahead and do it! The movie also made me realize how important my loved ones, especially my parents, are to me. I think it’s important to make them as happy as possible while I have the chance, before they leave me.
