Situated amid Japanese gentlemen’s favorite hangouts on Soi 13, Peyxaar stands out with its gigantic windowpane, displaying its freshly tailored collection of pretty dresses and colorful everyday wear by owner-slash-designer Aor Peyxaar Nimmanheminda. “We design simple, but elegant, dresses that you can wear in any season and don’t go out of date,” explained Aor, whose knack for colorful fabrics and fun tailoring fill up this brightly lit two-story shophouse.
The first floor of this three-month old boutique is home to ready-made gowns as well as a ready-to-wear collection of blouses and sparkled skirts. What makes this store different from other Thai designer outlets is not just the fact that these elegant pieces are actually affordable, but also the fact that Peyxaar can make your dream dress come to life. “Our store offers a wide range of fabrics, so you can come in with a design in your mind and we’ll make the dream dress for you. You can also bring your own fabrics if you want,” said Aor whose inspirations did not spring from a fashion school, but rather from friendly requests from peers who love her style. You can sit down with Aor and her seam team in the cozy living room upstairs, and whether your dream dress is from a Chanel show you saw on Chic Channel or you just want to put your imaginary design into being, it is all possible.
Aside from dresses, Peyxaar is also planning a line of clutch bags to go with the dresses. So drop by often for the new collections.
