Give Me Some Brown Rice!
Tria’s new restaurant, One (4/F, TRIA Integrative Wellness, 998 Rimklongsamsen Rd., 02-660-2730, 02-660-2734. Open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Sat-Sun 11am-2:30pm), is all organic and all about “balanced cuisine.” You can nutritiously dine on their blackened chicken with warm yogurt oregano sauce (B265) or their assem pedas tenggiri (mackerel cooked in tamarind with okra, eggplant and tomato, B265). And it’s all served with brown rice, our favorite.
A Berry Good Time
Iberry’s new bistro Kap Khao Kap Pla (Market Place, Thonglor Soi 4, 02-381-3274. Open daily 11am-2pm, 5:30-10pm) is fast becoming a new hangout for chic Thonglorians who respond to its feminine interior, smiley service and home-style Thai and international recipes. Try theirdeep-fried somtam (B120) or opt for their spaghetti with river prawns in spicy tomato sauce (B290).
Come See (and Drink)
A few weeks ago, the super exclusive Maduzi Hotel (9/1Ratchadapisek Rd. 02-615-6400. BTS Asoke. Open daily,11:30am-2:30pm and 6:30-10:30pm) finally opened its restaurant
to the public—although reservation is required to get past their thick security guards. Chef Nicolas Reynard is now whipping up a B650 net lunch menu but you might rather
spend that cash on their B650 all-you-can-drink promo from 5:30pm-8:30pm, where girls even get free canapés.
One More Italian
Opened Jul 14, Brio (Bangkok Marriott Charoen Krung Rd., 02-476-0022.2:30pm6-10:30pm) serves Italian risotto with cuttlefi sh (B380) and half-calzone Brio Pizza (B480). Thirsty?Brio Campari cocktails (B260).
