Mango Tree Bistro
Mango Tree Bistro
May 9th, 2008Popular with tourists, Mango Tree has opened another branch at CentralWorld. Targeting a younger crowd, the food in this branch is simpler, the price cheaper, the décor swankier and the overall theme more fashionable by adding on the concept of the bistro. Patrons dine on Thai cuisine pleasurable only for the western palate. Recommended dishes include the kai thawt Sukhothai (herbal deep-fried chicken B140) and spaghetti phad hoi lai (spaghetti with baby clams B120). Inside the small restaurant situated next to the bar, a band plays Tue-Sun from 6pm onwards. Customers are sometimes even invited to sing. To celebrate their grand opening, the restaurant is giving away a free bottle of booze to diners who have accumulated six stamps (bill over B500 will get a stamp). Speaking of which, the signature Bistro Smile (B195) will certainly make you smile with its mix of Mekhong, blue curacao, fresh mango, lime juice and sugar syrup.
