11 TUE

In Trat, a fortuneteller is charged with murdering a young woman after the victim’s body is found in her yard. Last year, the parents of Patraporn Ounarkart, 25, reported the disappearance of their daughter to the police. Patraporn’s motorcycle is finally found in a pond at the home of Lamai Saowaphan, a fortuneteller. The victim’s body had been stripped of its clothes and the legs were tied together. The sorcerer explains this is a rite to keep the victim’s ghost from escaping its tomb. Lamai and her son are charged with murder. They supposedly killed the victim because she had borrowed B20,000 from them but never paid the money back.

13 THU

In Pathum Thani, a woman, angered by its repeated trips to the bathroom in her front yard, poisons her neighbor’s dog. Pattamaporn Daengkohpho, 26, files a complaint at the Ladlumkaew police station against her neighbor, Suree Thanapattanakul, 43, claiming that she poisoned her dog, Dum. Suree is called in for questioning and produces photographs of the dog’s feces on her front yard. She complains about the smell and filth and admits to poisoning the poor Dum by mixing fish balls with pesticide. Suree even threatens to eliminate the neighborhood’s other dogs if nothing is done.

14 FRI

In Nakorn Srithammarat, authorities step up visitor searches after a visitor to Tungsong Prison apparently smuggles drugs in by hiding them in her vagina. Siriluck Saentor, 29, is serving a sentence for drug trafficking. Police ask her cellmate to set up an amphetamine deal with her and nab Siriluck in the act of dealing from within the prison. Eighty-seven tablets of yaba are then found in her room. Further investigation reveals that a relative was bringing drugs to Siriluck by hiding them in her vagina to pass visitor searches. The prison has since increased the thoroughness of its searches.

In Saraburi, a Cambodian is arrested with yaba in his rectum. Police at Nongkae, Saraburi, have a tip-off on a planned drug deal on Phaholyothin Road. They patrol the area undercover and spot a Cambodian national, Dera Theha, 37, who looks suspicious. They search his bag and find yaba tucked into two sanitary napkins and a condom full of yaba in his rectum. In total, they find 3,600 tablets.
