In Lopburi, a 65-year-old man is found dead in a love motel. Police arrive on the scene and find Suchart’s body on the bed. They find B2,000 in his pocket and, in front of the TV, an unused condom and a mobile phone. Tests reveal sperm at the tip of his penis and forensics surmise he had a heart attack during intercourse. A woman in her forties was spotted leaving the scene by the motel staff. The police are still looking for her.

In Bangkok, an engineer is run over by his car. Sukit, 50, returns home from work and tries backing his car into his home when he realizes the gate is locked. He jumps out of the vehicle to open the gate but has left the car in neutral. As he unlocks the gate, the car begins to roll away. He rushes to attempt to stop it with his outstretched arms but ends up getting run over. He dies from his injuries at the scene.

27 THU

In Bangkok, a man is killed over a parking spot dispute. Anek, 52, and his friends are drinking in front of his yaa dong shop. They have parked their motorcycles on the street in front of the shop. The owner of a gray Honda car appears and tries to move the bikes to park his own car on that same spot. Anek’s friends begin to argue with the driver when he leaves. A few minutes later, 10 men on motorcycles arrive at Anek’s shop and attack him with knives. He dies of slash wounds to the body.

In Songkhla, two merrymakers are killed after fi reworks they are  carrying explode. Wutthipat, 35 and Jaroon, 23 are on a bike, carrying a large bag of fi recrackers. They drive around town and throw firecrackers on houses and cars to celebrate the New Year. Suddenly, a massive explosion engulfs them and they are burnt to death, witnesses say. Police suspect that either one of the fi recrackers had a short fuse or one of their victims threw a fi recracker back at them that fell into the bag and ignited the entire stash.
