The buzz: A new hangout around the “hip” Plaza Lagoon complex in the otherwise deserted area of Wang Hin.
The décor: The indoors is your typical, tiny, Thonglor/Ekamai style bar, equipped with a small stage and lined with low cubic seating—nothing very special. However, the outdoor balcony extending out over the lagoon makes up for it with it’s all wooden floors, furniture and fixtures. Choose to be seated on their low comfy cushions equipped with backrests as you admire the view. After a couple drinks, you’ll feel like you are no longer sitting in Wang Hin but in Hua Hin instead.
The music: The music is live for the most part, with the evenings starting off with jazzy pop and ending with the typical offering of pop-rock, pop-dance by the in-house band. The invisible DJ comes on between breaks playing a selection of hip hop.
The crowd: Besides a handful of familiar faces from Jet or Fallabella, you’ll find the locals of Wang Hin, in other words, people you wouldn’t usually come across on your weekend endeavors in the city center.
The price: Cocktails B100-350, shooters B150, beer B70-80, whisky B550-1,300, mixer B35.
Why you’ll come back: You enjoy the vibe of Thonglor and Ekkamai but you feel like a beer by some open water and refuse to drive two hours to fulfill your midweek craving.
