Butt-Friendly Bars

Winter

Open-air space fitted with low square tables and matching black and white beanbags (comfortable only when you master the skills of sitting in one) is a smoker’s heaven. To keep the air circulating and the surrounding temperature bearable, the garden is also equipped with huge box-like fans on either side (possibly also to favor those who aren’t fans of cigarette smoke).

La Bieng

“I’m-just-going-to-step-outside” might be better than just a mere interruption at the newly installed La Bieng at Santika. An open-air extension of the building, this wooden floor veranda is equipped with low contrasting white cushiony seats and poolside chairs, similar to a place you’d find somewhere along a beach front. A small bar, as well as the DJ booth playing soothing Bossanova and progressive house, sits within comfortable reach.

Seasoning

Tranquility and serenity are synonymous with this resort-style bar and restaurant. If you’re a fan of outdoor areas swarmed with green and light subtle music, then you’re fishing at the right pond. Speaking of ponds, the outdoor patio has one (man-made of course) but nevertheless does a good job in adding to the aesthetics. Wooden chairs and tables line the garden area, and for those of us fond of things with a little more cushion, there’s always the beanbags. Acoustic bands provide the ideal atmosphere for a chilled-out night of drinks and
Marlboros under the stars.

Be Zeen

Nearly 80% outdoors, Be Zeen has a pretty tropical and Bali flare to its décor. A fountain in the middle of the outdoor area provides not only a backdrop, but also soothing sounds of
nature for those of us sick of elevator background music. Light up, kick back and bottoms up!
