BK Smirnoff Party

BK Smirnoff Party

February 14th, 2008

Your B400,000 Bash
We’ve extended the BK & Smirnoff Clearly Original Party Contest to Feb 15 Why? Because some of you thought you have to do a whole Powerpoint presentation or something. NO WAY! Just tell us what you want and WE (BK and Smirnoff) do the work. Like, “Fly in DJ Felix da Housecat, get me some high-rise rooftop and throw me a BITCHIN’ party.” Sir, yes, sir! Oh yeah, you need to give your party a name, too. Come on, be brave, and be wild. B400,000 can go a long way: DJs flown in from the US or famous local bands, giant hangar filled with foam or elegant hotel bar, funky video art projections or sexy dancers... You can have it all. Just ask! (See entry slip, this page, email us at contest@asiacity.co.th or visit www.bkmagazine.com/win-house-party and www.beclearoriginal.com/th/winaparty/)

In the Blue
Grand Millennium Sukhumvit has just opened its doors and, like any self-respecting luxury hotel, they have a jazz bar. Introducing inBlu Jazz Bar (G/F, 30 Sukhumvit 21 (Asoke), 02-
204-4000. Open daily 4pm-midnight): the promising jazz lounge is taking the modern route, décor-wise, and has a pretty original cocktail list. Don Gomes, Aussie pianist, will be
playing through Jan 31.

Philly Heat
On Dec 28, DJ Cash Money from Philadelphia demonstrated at 808 how much he deserved to win the New Music Seminar DJ Championship in New York. The east side hip hop we were counting on gave way to something a bit easier for Thai ears to deal with: Next Episode, Hollywood, Move Bitch, Drop It Like It’s Hot, or This is Why I’m Hot. Hey, whatever works and gets us dancing! With these hits and 808’s crowd, it turned out to be a kick-ass party. We’re looking forward to the finalized 808 as a new DJ Mecca in town.
