New but decorated like a canteen, with lots of dining tables and a stage for bands. Mostly, they play typical soft to pop rock music. In between bands, the CDs they play are commercial dance tunes. Pool table available.

A DJ plays hip hop in between bands. This place is LOUD but otherwise nondescript except maybe for the particularly long counter by the smallish stage.

A square room, tables and chairs, a flat screen hung on the wall, bored staff, average music… Guess it’s a “shut up and drink” pub.

Ma Hey!

Plenty of space to groove and move to either the beats of the in house DJ or live music. A pool table sits at the end of the room. By the entrance, there’s a “game zone” if you’re up for some free whiskey.

Chalermkrung Bar

Small bar bathed with retro wallpaper and various old movie posters on the wall. There is small airconditioned section but the most popular area is outdoors. One of the busiest bar in the area despite the older crowd.

Yohii

A Thai izakaya with a tasty shochu yogurt drink. Traditional Japanese goes street as far as the décor is concerned. The music is delivered by a jazzy ensemble with four string instruments and some bongo drums. Adult crowd from the media biz that doesn’t dance.

A garden bar by the main road offering light folk music. There is also an air-conditioned section. Yummy food and a good chill-out vibe.
