Lifestyle giant Lifebrandz opens Mulligan’s Irish Pub in Clarke Quay
9 February, 2010 Bangkok time

Where: #01-02A Blk. C, Clarke Quay, 3 River Valley Rd., 6305-6726.
The Buzz: Lifebrandz, the nightlife and lifestyle giant behind Zirca, Lunar and Café del Mar brings a craic den into their growing stable, bestowing Clarke Quay with a new and unpretentious watering hole filled to the brim with beer and hearty goodness.
The décor: Authentic Irish ambience straight out of the Emerald Isle. A charming Irish atmosphere is faithfully recreated at Mulligan’s—wooden interiors, vintage Guinness posters, fireplace, the works. With authentic decor from the land of the leprechaun and a general manager who’s ma and da are as Irish as they come, Mulligan’s has a certain charm, and it’s a great joint to kick back in over a perfectly pulled pint of ale while watching sports from the many TV screens. There’s even an outdoor bar for people-watching.
The drinks: Your typical house brews like Guinness, Kilkenny and Heineken on tap, but if you want to jazz up your night, get one of Mulligan’s beer cocktails like the Snake Bite, Black & Tan or the Paddy Fuzzy Duck.
The food: A selective and appetizing pub grub menu—Scotch eggs, fish ‘n’ chips, Irish stews and shepherd pies—which are all worthy stalwarts that perfectly accompany a good pint of creamy black stout.
The music: In keeping with the vibe of the place, Mulligan’s streams live Irish radio all day while resident four-piece Irish band Ganainn plays authentic Irish rock and pop Wed-Fri from 9pm.
The crowd: Those who love their Guinness and Kilkenny in large quantities with the perfect accompaniment of delicious Irish dishes.
Why you’ll be back: It feels like home, even if you’re not Irish.
