Lasik Surgery

Dear Mr. KIA: I am 25 years old and am told I look like a “grandma” with my glasses on. The abuse has gotten so bad I don’t want to wear my glasses when I go to work—despite the fact I have serious myopia. No type of modern-looking eyeglass frame looks right on me, and I’m too scared to try out contact lenses. (read more...)

Where to Get Your Nose Done

Dear Mr. KIA: I’ve got a serious problem. (read more...)

Dear Mr. KIA: Everything in my life is terrific, but for some reason I still feel down. Not just down—I’m stuck in a vicious cycle here. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat and I hate myself, so I try to keep isolated from other people. I’m getting worried. At first, it only happened from time to time, so I assumed it was just a once-in-a-blue-moon thing. (read more...)

Dear Mr. KIA: Please my dearest Mr. KIA, if you help me out I promise I will change my lifestyle and set foot on the pathway to being a nice girl again. I think I have just given myself a death sentence. I was out partying again last night, and I did try to not be slutty, but I swear, old habits die hard. I ended up in this guy’s bed and everything is a blur. (read more...)

Dear Mr. KIA: I hate to act like an irrational sixth-grader, but this is a big deal for me. My friends have been mocking me for months since the day I smiled to a girl as I tried to pick her up, but ended up getting an awkward “get-away-from-me-moron” look on her face. Don’t get me wrong. (read more...)

Dear Mr.KIA: I’ve just been handed the most horrible news—I may be suffering from a cancer. I’m going to have to do a whole bunch of tests and if my doctor’s fears are confirmed, go into treatment. Of course, I’m terrified but I know it’s not a time to weep; I need to be strong and seek help. (read more...)

Dear Mr. KIA: I’ve been living alone for quite some time, but recently a new member has been added into my lonely little family. I am now a single mom to a cute little baby golden retriever, Cookie Dough. Nong Dough is my pride and joy and I treat him just like I would my own human baby, that is, if I ever have one. Anyway that’s not the point. (read more...)

Do Something About Your Sleepless Nights

You’ve hit the sack, it’s been 15 minutes and you haven’t felt this awake all day. Eyes shut tight, or wide open staring at the ceiling, the long wait for sleep is beginning to frustrate you, and the irritation is just adding to the agitation. With every minute that goes by, you just feel more and more awake. If this sounds all too familiar, you may be suffering from insomnia. (read more...)

Raise Breast Cancer Awareness with Pink Gadgets

October is breast cancer awareness month, and pink the official color. In the US, Sony is donating money from the sale of pink laptops to the campaign. Here, you can show your support by sporting a pink bracelet: in 2006 they were available at Chulalongkorn Hospital’s Breast Cancer Center for B100—call 02-256-4991 to find out if they’re doing it again this year. In any case, Pink is a hot color in electronics this season. See if one of these tickles your fancy. (read more...)
