Advance Voting

Being a politically correct girl is difficult!

Also on last Saturday (Dec 15), I went for the advance voting because I'm leaving to Laos (yeah!) this Friday and won't be back in time for the actual election. And as it's advertised on billboards and radio, those who want to vote in advance just go to the district office of the election area where you belong. You know, though i considered myself a Bangkokian, I live in Nonthaburi. That's why I have to struggle driving in the middle of nowhere to the super far Buathong district office. After getting lost, I finally arrived. There are three boards standing in the burning sunlight. For god's sake, can't they just put the boards inside the building? Then it's a searching marathon as I tried to find my name from 31 thick bunches of papers. Ans when I did find my name, there was a tiny little sign saying "If you want to vote in advance, go to Buathong School." But where the hell is Buathong School?!?

After another 30 minutes on the road, Buathong School I arrived...only to found myself having to take the queue card and waiting among hundreds other people to be called. That was another half an hour. Seems like everyone wanted to travel this Christmas.

Advance voting isn't as easy as they advertise. After all I had to do to VOTE, now I just keep my fingers crossed that the you-know-who won't be the PM.
