The Golden Cup screenings

 

 

King Jigme fever seems to be returning to the City of Bangkok as Bhutanese flick, Golden Cup :The Legacy is set to be screened at CentralWorld's SF World Cinema (www.sfcinemacity.com) on Dec 14 (7:30pm) and Dec 15 (2pm).

 

Directed by Tshering Wangyel and written by Tshering Penjore, a former personal bodyguard of HM King Jigme back when he was the Crown Prince of Bhutan, the film is an adaptation of an ancient folklore. Featuring ameteur cast and crew, the film portrays the lives of rural villagers and reflects the country's long heritage and culture.
