Issue #269: Why I Exercise

Vodka University

Graduation is always a long boring ordeal of listening to prolonged speeches and sitting through 2,000 names.  But the “commencement” I went to last Wednesday was definitely not boring since the students were not graduating from hosh-posh universities like Harvard or Boston College, instead they were graduating from “Vodka University”. 42 Below, New Zealand’s vodka has just received a new headmaster in Bacardi, so they re-launched their product at Le Fenix boutique hotel’s Nest Bar. Jacob Briars, 42 Below’s Vodka “Professor” spent his first time in Bangkok teaching a handful of mixology enthusiasts and students the art of vodka mixology. These students adding to their bartending resume received their diplomas to the applause of a bar full of drunk media, PR, Bacardi and 42 Below staff and of course some beautiful people of Bangkok. Not a bad way to graduate. The Vodka was also good.
